Our infertility treatment process begins with an evaluation to determine any factors that may be causing the problem. At a minimum, we test for the following factors:

• Normal sexual behavior
• Infectious diseases in both partners
• The health of the man's sperm
• Hormone secretion at each stage of the menstrual cycle
• Ovulation
• Age and condition of the ovaries
• A condition during the follicular phase of menstruation
• Blockages in the fallopian tubes

Following our examinations and medications, approximately one-third of our patients become pregnant through our general conservative (non-invasive) treatment.

If you are unable to become pregnant through noninvasive treatments, we provide a variety of advanced fertility procedures.

Intrauterine insemination is likely the next step. Typically, three intrauterine insemination procedures are performed with a pregnancy rate of around 35%. We use the Aseptic High-Quality Sperm Separation System, a technique that was invented in our clinic. This process obtains fertile sperm with the highest activity, no germ contamination, normal chromatin, normal morphology, and normal cell membrane permeability. Our process is the top system in the world in this field, and it has the highest rate of pregnancy and leads to the healthiest children.

Intrauterine insemination (and other types of in vivo insemination) costs between US$1,500 and US$3,800. There may be additional costs for medications, ultrasonography, and blood or urine tests.

In our experience, if intrauterine insemination has not been successful after three attempts, we recommend considering in vitro fertilization.

Our success rates vary based on our patient's age.

• Women under 38 — About 80% become pregnant.
• Women over 40 — About 40% become pregnant.
• Women over 45 — Our result is a low pregnancy rate.

As these numbers indicate, infertility treatments are more successful with younger patients. If you're considering treatment, it's important to begin as soon as possible.

We recommend using a surrogate mother in a number of situations in which our patient's uterus is unable to sustain the fetus.

• If the uterus is malformed
• If it has congenital abnormalities
• If it has large fibroids
• If it is absent due to surgery
• If it has undergone operations or procedures that have left scar tissue (such as multiple cesarean sections)
• If the endometrium does not grow well
• If there are antibodies that adversely affect the process

The use of a surrogate mother may also be considered if a woman wishes to avoid the long-term effects of pregnancy, such as weight gain or freckles.
